Adebayo Surakatu Introduces Augmented Reality Into Retail Commerce

It was during his days as a leading Engineer at a Swiss-based mobile company which he left lately for his new Blockchain venture.



Mr. Bayo Surakatu is allegedly working on his new blockchain project called SUBAJ to revolutionize the shopping industry through a crypto-based reward system.


Talking about the project, he is apparently developing a decentralized shopping marketplace powered by the Blockchain technology where different types of companies, businesses, merchants, and retailers can participate for their mutual benefit. The platform will allow these entities to create their own crypto tokens (business tokens) and offer them to the customers as loyalty rewards on their purchases.
The customers will also be benefited from the platform in a number of ways. Owing to the availability of crypto-based rewards, they can redeem the reward points received from one merchant at any other merchant or retail store within the SUBAJ network. So for the first time, the rewards will have a real value since they are backed by the crypto tokens.
The Role of Augmented Reality
Here’s the catch. Augmented Reality (AR) has a crucial role to play in SUBAJ. This technology is used by SUBAJ to provide an interactive UI and immersive UX to the SUBAJ mobile app users. The customers can see different types of elements on their mobile screen while using the SUBAJ app in real-time. The SUBAJ app uses the same concept as Pokemon Go where the users (customers) can see which merchants are offering discounts and loyalty rewards while traveling in given proximity zone.
SUBAJ Charity Foundation
Bayo Surakatu is also adamant about creating a more meaningful world for the deprived and underprivileged children of the society through a non-profit organization associated with SUBAJ known as SUBAJ Charity Foundation. Every time a customer redeems a voucher and receives either SBJ or Business Tokens as the loyalty reward, a small percentage of the Token amount also goes to the SUBAJ Charity Foundation.
